Baruch atah Adonai, Eloheinu melech ha-olam, ha-mavdil bein kodesh l’chol, bein or-le’choshekh, bein Yisrael la-amim, bein yom ha-shevi’i l’sheshet y’mai ha-ma’aseh. Baruch ata Adonai, ha-mavdil bein kodesh l’chol.

Blessed are You, God, Spirit of the Universe, Who distinguishes between the sacred and the profane, between light and darkness, between Israel and other people of the world, between the seventh day and the six days of the week. Blessed are You, Who distinguishes between the sacred and the profane.

After the blessings some people like to put the candle right into the wine and it makes a sizzle but ruins the rest of the wine in the glass. So, no Chateau Lafite for Havdalah!

The last step is to wish everyone Shavua Tov, which means have a good week!

Why make an account?

Because why use any of your precious brain cells to remember where you kept those great readings that you’ll use someday at Jeffrey’s B Mitzvah? Make an account, keep the readings there. Easy peasy. The only thing you’ll need to remember is your password, and from personal experience that’s hard enough.
